Aragon Cattery is set on five acres in picturesque Arcadia, which is a short 45 minute drive from Sydney. We offer cat boarding with a difference as our guests enjoy their very own five star air conditioned and heated luxury suites complete with outdoor decked sunning areas. Our cattery is unique as you will have peace of mind knowing that the owner/operator is an experienced vet nurse cat sitter with over 20 years in the animal boarding industry. We continue to expand our knowledge of the cat world with breeding and showing the stunning British Shorthair cats.
No expense has been spared in our luxurious cattery that offers Sydney felines short and long term cat boarding care. As your personal cat sitter we will go above and beyond the needs of your loved ones. Our boutique cat boarding establishment consists of only 17 penthouse and apartment suites allowing us to dedicate more individual time to each and every guest. We are soon opening our new villa suites which will give another choice of accommodation for those cats that prefer to be more outdoors.
Our cat boarding facilities cater to all breeds and ages of cats and this includes all types of dietary requirements. We only stock premium quality produce and our menu provides a huge selection of not only dry food but also tinned, fresh and cooked, with all grades of pet to human quality. We feed twice a day and dry biscuits are provided all day to snack on, unless otherwise instructed by the owner. We use Hills Science diet, Royal Canin, Advance, Iams, Proplan, Fancy Feast Royale and many other high quality varieties. Any guest may bring their own food if preferred and if your cat is on a prescribed veterinary diet of either dry or wet food this will need to be supplied by the owner.
When it comes to helping your loved ones settle in, you are more than welcome to bring along any of their favourite belongings such as a bed, blanket or toy. We do require that all belongings be washed and flea free so we can maintain a clean and sterile environment. Cats that regularly venture outdoors at home need to be treated for fleas prior to their arrival to avoid introducing any nasty parasites. If this hasn’t been done and there is evidence of ticks or fleas present we will administer treatment and this will be added to the cost of your pets stay.
Cats need a current vaccination certificate or card with a minimum of an F3 inoculation done at least two weeks prior to their stay. This will safeguard your cat and others and should be done annually. If your cat requires any form of veterinary medication this needs to be brought along and instructions provided. We also need contact details for your local vet incase we have cause to consult them about any issues that may arise. We do have a marvellous vet on call day and night along with the 24 hour vet nurse owner/sitter supervision, to aid in the care and wellbeing of our visitors.
Our spacious suites are conveniently located close to Sydney have been designed to address all weather conditions, allowing our cats to venture outside into a covered alfresco area even if it’s raining. Cats are locked inside at night throughout the cooler months for heating reasons, though they can still look outside through the glass sliding doors or windows. The suites are well lit and sunshine streams in with the reverse cycle air conditioning and heating ensuring our cats are comfortable all year round.
